Seminar on 2D and 3D Boron-Carbon-Nitrogen Phases by Prof. Pulickel M. Ajayan

A seminar titled “2D and 3D Phases of Boron-Carbon-Nitrogen” by Prof. Pulickel M. Ajayan, Rice University, United States was hosted by the Department of Chemistry on 17 February. The talk was focused on carbon and boron-based advanced materials that have compositions of C, BN, CN and BCN. The efforts towards synthesizing hexagonal as well cubic phases of these compositions were discussed with the goal of achieving 2D and 3D structures with applications in electronics and nanotechnology.
