3rd IISER Standing Committee Meeting Focuses on Research and Student-Centric Education

The 3rd Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) was held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Union Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan ji. Prof. Gobardhan Das, Director, IISER Bhopal, was present at the meeting, representing the institute in key discussions.

The Standing Committee reviewed the academic and research progress of all seven IISERs and deliberated on future strategies with a focus on student-centric education, outcome-oriented research, and societal impact. IISERs were reaffirmed as pillars of India’s higher education ecosystem, committed to nurturing future scientists, innovators, and leaders.
