Introducing GARGI: IISER Bhopal’s New High-Performance Computing Data Center

We are proud to announce the inauguration of GARGI, a cutting-edge smart rack-based HPC facility at our Computer Center, boosting computational research across science, engineering, and interdisciplinary fields. With an initial investment of ₹10 crore, GARGI offers advanced computing power, high memory nodes, fast networking, and enterprise-grade storage—a major leap forward for our research community.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Rural Development, Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, as Chief Guest, and Shri Inder Singh Parmar, Hon’ble Minister of Higher Education, Technical Education & Ayush, Government of Madhya Pradesh, as Distinguished Guest. The event was also attended by Prof. Arvind A. Natu, Chairperson of the Board of Governors.
