IISER Bhopal Announces the Establishment of the Research Centre for Sustainable Technologies and Energy Research!

Under the visionary leadership of Prof. Gobardhan Das, Director, IISER Bhopal, we are proud to take a bold step toward advancing central India’s scientific and technological future with the launch of the Research Centre for Sustainable Technologies and Energy Research — a world-class facility dedicated to solving some of the most pressing global challenges.

We express our sincere gratitude to the Government of Madhya Pradesh for generously allotting 52 acres of land adjacent to the IISER Bhopal campus. This significant support lays a strong foundation for building a transformative hub for cutting-edge research, innovation, and industry-academia collaboration for a sustainable future.

The Centre will focus on high-impact areas including Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Technologies, Semiconductors, Biomedical Devices, Climate Science, and Sustainable Energy. It will also house a Research and Innovation Park that promotes startups, skill development, and partnerships with national and international institutions and industries.

Additionally, IISER Bhopal is actively working with the Government of Madhya Pradesh to develop a Technology Innovation Hub for AI and Drone Technologies, aligning with national mission programs and supporting the vision of a self-reliant India.
